  • Our on-call emergency services are designed to provide timely care when your pet needs it most. If you have an after-hours emergency, call 541-386-5753 and leave a voicemail for Dr. White. Once Dr. White returns your call, he will assess the situation over the phone and determine the best course of action. If needed, he will arrange to meet you at the clinic and call in an assistant to help provide care for your pet. If you do not receive a call back within 30 minutes, proceed to an emergency hospital for immediate assistance. We recoemmend:

  • We are able to see emergencies during our normal business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. If your pet is experiencing an urgent issue, please call us ahead of time so we can prepare to assist you as efficiently as possible. Calling in advance allows our team to gather necessary supplies, prioritize your pet’s care, and ensure we’re ready to provide the prompt attention your pet needs. Your call helps us deliver the best possible care during critical moments.

  • Emergency situations are those that pose an immediate threat to your pet’s life or require urgent intervention to prevent serious harm. These situations demand immediate attention and often involve severe symptoms or injuries. Some common examples of emergencies include:

    • Difficulty breathing

    • Uncontrolled bleeding

    • Seizures

    • Ingestion of toxic substances

    • Severe trauma (e.g., hit by a car)

    • Sudden collapse or unconsciousness

    • Signs of extreme pain (e.g., crying out, unable to move)

    In these critical moments, time is of the essence. If you suspect your pet is experiencing an emergency, it’s crucial to seek veterinary care at a veterinary emergency hospital immediately.

  • Urgent care involves medical issues that require prompt attention but are not life-threatening. These situations often cause discomfort or distress to your pet and need to be addressed promptly to prevent them from escalating into more serious problems. Please call us so that we can get you in if your pet is experiencing any of these conditions:

    • Minor cuts or wounds

    • Vomiting or diarrhea lasting more than 24 hours

    • Lameness or limping

    • Ear infections

    • Minor allergic reactions

    • Persistent coughing or sneezing
